Champion of Champions Competition 2010
15 June 2010
This year, the Champion of Champions Competition was held at Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club on 15th June 2010. Only the club champions from 6 clubs namely Orchid Country Club, Sembawang Country Club, Warren Country Club, Changi Country Club, Raffles Country Club and Tanah Merah Country Club participated. The Champion of Champions for 2010 was Ms Julie Tori from Changi Country Club who shot a gross score of 80 for the day.
67 social players from the various clubs supported this event. Everyone had a good time with this “blind-partnership” mini-tournament and lucky dips. We were all very blessed as the weather was just perfect to golf and we enjoyed ourselves with a good buffet spread for lunch. There was great camaraderie amongst the club ladies and it was an afternoon well-spent together.
The traffic along the causeway to and from Horizon Hills was smooth and the journey was pleasant. 9 Malaysian MPVs were hired to ferry most of the participants for this annual overseas game. Some of the participants preferred to car-pool and drove to Malaysia in their own cars.
Till we meet again in 2011, the Competition Committee will be busy looking out for more exciting venues and activities for this annual event.
