Founded by golf enthusiast Jeanette Sim, Singapore Ladies Golf Association was established in 1979 with the aim of providing a governing body for ladies golf in Singapore.

Internationally, the Association was part of the inaugural team of Asean officials which started the Queen Sirikit Cup tournament. SLGA also helped make Singapore an inaugural leg of the Kosaido Ladies circuit, an event for lady professionals which has attracted top golfers such as Laura Davies and Liselotte Neumann.

Since its formation, the SLGA has introduced inter-club leagues and started the Evergreens, a competition for senior ladies.

The SLGA continues to develop the growth of female golfing talents in Singapore via its Junior’s Programme.
